Day 3 Embryo Report

13 embies still growing!?!

1- 5 cell good
1- 6 cell good
2- 8 cell good
4- 8 cell excellent / good
5- 8 cell excellent

They said we're 'going to blast' . Transfer on Saturday morning. Nurse said we need to decide to transfer one or two. Yikes. This is a big question. We're nervous about twins and I'm not really one of those who secretly hopes for twins. - Yet I am confident that I can handle what I am given - or not given.

Back to Doctor Google for some advice. Your advice / experience is welcome!

I don't know what the odds are for transferring two and getting two. We trasnferred two and got one...so I'm thankful we tried with two. If they had chosen the wrong one to transfer, we'd have none. It's such a tough decision...but that's fantastic that you have so many great embies! So...the flip side is if it didn't work, you'd have plenty to choose from for an FET. Go with your gut, and be confident with your decision. Good luck!

I'm so happy for you and your little blasts! Whatever you decide to do, it will be the right decision for you. Best of luck with the transfer, and thank you for sharing your story!

That's terrific. Tough decision on how many to transfer, but you would have plenty left for FETs. You could try one for this fresh cycle, and it if doesn't stick, go to 2 for the FET. I suggest having a good talk with the embryologist on transfer day.

congrats!
tough decision... I'd go with KandiB and Dora. You have a lot of great embies to freeze, so you could go with just one.
The March of Dimes has good information about this. www.marchofdimes.com
There are many more risks in a pregnancy with multiples. But only you'll know what feels right to you.
